DIY: sugar writing tray ...

My cute little Norah has been working so hard on learning how to write all of her letters.  Sometimes we like to use sugar to practice our letters in.
She loves to draw her letters in the sugar, and it is something new instead of the usual paper and pencil.
Head on over to my post over on Hellobee for the full step by step instructions on how to make your own montessori sugar writing tray.

diaper wipe case activity ...

My little Thomas likes to empty out containers, whether it be wipe containers or tissues, he loves it.
As long as they keep coming, and he can make a big mess, he is one happy camper.

So, I decided to use an old wipe box to make a wipe case with fabric scraps for him to pull out as much as he wants.

It is really easy, and you probably have all of the supplies on hand.
For a step by step tutorial, and instructions on how to make a wipe case activity, head on over to my recent post for Hellobee.

DIY "Turkey" snack ...

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and during snack time the other day, I decided to surprise my kiddos with a "turkey" for a snack.  They loved it, and thought it was so fun to "eat" the turkey!
It only takes a few ingredients to put together a "turkey" snack, and the impact on your kids will be huge!  It is a good reminder that kids really don't need a lot to make them happy.  Maybe a little effort and imagination, and snack time can be a magical time!
Be sure to head on over to my full step by step tutorial on how to make these little turkey's over on the HelloBee blog!

french-inspired party: watercolor invitations

I can't believe that I haven't shared details of my little Norah's third birthday party that was in July?!
Time sure does fly by, and things get busy.

I wanted to first share her invitations with you.  I decided to go with a French-inspired theme for the party.  And, since France is full of talented artists, I decided to do watercolor invitations.
I printed black in onto watercolor paper, and used the watercolors to spruce up the invitations.

Be sure to check out the instructions, and full details on how I made the invitations over on my post on the Hellobee blog.
I'll be sure to share more of the party soon!
